Hope

This is a response poem to alicekeysmd’s poemhope rides into town“.

Reticent to leave
Pandora’s jar, Hope hides out
Praying no one sees

Praying no one sees
the evil hiding within
Hope springs infernal

Hope springs infernal
offering such delusions
reticent to leave

    • Indeed. She is ever beguiling while robbing us of our power to act. Your poem nailed it with “hope fills hearts with warm
flighted lies that bind the mind.
      my beautiful lies”. Well said!
